Art. 1 - Purpose
“Sentomus” is a research project for European museums and includes an online survey of the audiences of participating museums. This online survey is linked to a contest for the participating respondents.
The contest is organised by Sento Group BV (see art. 7), which facilitates the research. These rules set out the conditions for participation in the survey and contest. Participation in the survey and contest implies acceptance of these rules.
“The respondent” or “the respondents” are the persons who complete a survey for one of the participating museums.
- Participation in the survey is entirely voluntary and takes place by the free will of the respondent.
- Participation in the research and contest is permitted from the age of 18.
- The respondent may stop the survey at any time.
- The surveys are completely anonymous. No identification data is requested or stored.
The estimated time to complete a survey is 10 minutes, depending on speed and answers.
The respondent grants the researchers or their partners permission to anonymously store, process and report their answers.
The data is collected and stored by Sento Group BV and may be shared with the partners of the research, such as the participating universities. More information: www.sentomus.eu.
Art. 2 - Personal data
The questionnaire contains no questions about personal data or identification data: at no point is data collected that can be traced back to the identity of a person.
Completing the questionnaire is therefore always entirely anonymous.
Due to this anonymous nature, it is not possible to determine who has completed a particular survey, and it is therefore also not possible to request access, modification or deletion of answers afterwards.
It is prohibited to leave personal data (name, email address, address, etc.) in the open fields of the survey. If this nonetheless occurs, you may contact Sento via the email address below to view, modify or delete your data.
No personal data is collected for the contest (“win a trip”) either.
- The system selects winners according to the procedure described in art. 4.
- After completing the survey, winners are shown a separate message with a unique code and instructions to contact the research team by email.
- In this way, the team only contacts the winners, and data of all respondents is not collected.
Winners may at any time, upon simple request by email or letter, ask Sento Group BV to view, modify or delete their personal data. The personal data of winners is deleted after the prize has been handed over.
Art. 3 - Contest conditions
The contest runs throughout the entire period of the audience survey.
- Only respondents who answer all questions of the questionnaire participate validly.
- Each person may participate only once in the survey and therefore also in the contest.
- Each respondent has a chance to win one of the trips, but can win only one trip.
Prizes:
- The trips are awarded in the form of vouchers worth 1000 euros.
- The total number of trips is 3 for the entire study (changes by the research team reserved).
Additional benefit:
- Each valid respondent saves 1 m² of threatened rainforest or natural area.
- Max. 1 m² per respondent, up to 1000 m² per questionnaire (per museum).
At the end of the study, a donation is made to the World Land Trust organisation, which delivers an official certificate. This certificate is shared with all participating museums and published online.
Art. 4 - Determination of winners
The prizes are drawn via a lottery system.
- Prior to the study, www.randomizer.org randomly selects 3 museums (+3 reserve museums) from all participating museums.
- In the survey of these museums, a prize is drawn among the participants.
Process:
- For each selected museum, www.randomizer.org chooses a number between 1 and 10.
- In the winning museums, a randomizer in the survey system invisibly assigns each respondent a number between 1 and 10 in the background.
- The first respondent who is assigned the winning number sees a message at the end of the survey saying that he/she has won, along with a unique code and an email address.
- The winner contacts via this address; further handling takes place directly between winner and organiser.
If the winner does not contact the organiser within 1 week, the prize may be awarded to the next respondent with the winning number. This process is repeated until there is a winner for each prize.
If a selected museum risks reaching too few respondents, the project team may replace it with a reserve museum. If necessary, new museums may also be added.
If the project team decides:
- To award additional prizes: additional museums and numbers are chosen.
- To reduce the number of prizes: the randomizer decides for which museums no prize is drawn.
All draws are recorded on video. Changes after the start (more or fewer prizes) are recorded in the same way.
The result is final and binding and cannot be contested. No correspondence is conducted with the organiser.
Art. 5 - Prizes
- Each winner receives a travel budget of 1000 euros in the form of a voucher (usable for travel, accommodation, activities).
- A total of 3 vouchers are available.
- The number of prizes may be adjusted without prior notice.
The prizes are not exchangeable for money or other benefits. The organiser is not liable for the quality of the trips or for defects in services provided by third parties.
Art. 6 - Contest regulations
Participation implies the full acceptance of these rules.
- Any attempt at fraud leads to immediate exclusion and may result in legal action.
- Sento Group BV reserves the right to modify, postpone, shorten or cancel the contest (wholly or partly) in case of force majeure or circumstances beyond its control.
- No liability may be invoked for this.
Print, spelling or layout errors cannot be invoked as grounds for obligations against Sento Group.
These rules have been drawn up in English (binding and authoritative version). For the convenience of users, they have been translated into Dutch, French, German, Spanish and Italian. These translations are not binding; no rights may be derived from them.
